Sarasota County repealed its County Business Tax on July 9, 2024, so the Tax Collector no longer collects that tax. Municipal business tax requirements can still apply. Check the city for the business location, and keep any required zoning, occupancy or state approvals separate from the County tax repeal.

Other incorporated locations also require checking the appropriate municipal office.
