Is Sarasota County's permit portal the same as the City's?

No. Sarasota County publishes its own online permitting process, while the City of Sarasota has separate building and permit services. Other incorporated locations also require checking the appropriate municipal office. Confirm the property jurisdiction before creating an application; a Sarasota mailing address does not tell you which government handles it.

Its official online permitting page expressly identifies re-roof dry-in/flashing and roof in-progress virtual inspections, and references fee Resolution 2026-068.
