City of Belleair Bluffs in Pinellas County
Newest routing quirk in the county: building services moved from Pinellas County BDRS to SAFEbuilt on 2025-08-15. Code enforcement is contracted to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office (one dedicated deputy). BTR required per City Code Chapter 118 and F.S. 205; renewals mailed as a courtesy. City Hall also hosts the Town of Belleair Shore's meetings.

The city transitioned ALL permitting and inspection services from Pinellas County Building and Development Review Services to SAFEbuilt effective August 15, 2025. All open and active permits remain with Pinellas County through final inspection; all new permits received on or after August 15, 2025, and contractor registrations are processed by SAFEbuilt. New permit applications are emailed to [email protected] (Mon-Fri 8 am - 4 pm).
