What does a Brevard business tax receipt cover?

Brevard's Tax Collector provides the County local business tax receipt process. A receipt does not by itself establish zoning, occupancy or life-safety compliance. Businesses within a municipality should also check that municipality's requirements, along with any state license needed for the activity.

Which Brevard permit office should I use?

Start with the property's actual jurisdiction, not just its mailing city. Brevard County publishes its building permit applications and requirements through Planning and Development. Incorporated locations may use a municipal building department or a delegated process, so confirm the responsible office before using a County or city application.
