Commercial electrical, plumbing, mechanical, gas, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and other trade work is coordinated with the building permit and occupancy requirements. County commercial plan review includes building, electric, plumbing, mechanical, fire, and water or sewer review as applicable. A standalone trade permit does not resolve an unlawful occupancy or incomplete base-building approval. The County lists pool and spa permits among commercial permit types, and the Health Department must approve swimming pools. StartFL should distinguish trade authorization from final occupancy approval.
