Pinellas Park permits, zoning, engineering, and business review

Source references checked 2026-09-29. How we check sources

The City of Pinellas Park Building Development Division issues City permits and business tax receipts and coordinates building, zoning, engineering, fire, and trade requirements. Permit submittals can require plot plans, site plans, signed and sealed drawings, engineering, and trade documents depending on the project. City zoning determines setbacks and allowed uses. For residential sheds, the City states that all sheds must be permitted through the Building Department, they belong in rear or side yards outside easements, and sheds up to 200 square feet and 10 feet high may be as close as 18 inches to a property line unless placed on a concrete slab or similar surface, which requires a 5 foot property line setback. Larger or taller sheds must meet the zoning district setbacks, and sheds should generally be at least 10 feet from the principal dwelling unless the Fire Department authorizes a reduction. Use Pinellas Park's permit and zoning sources rather than unincorporated County dimensions.
