Check the municipality separately
Every incorporated city requires its own Business Tax Receipt for businesses within city boundaries. Some cities require the county receipt first. For example, New Port Richey requires all businesses to submit the Pasco County BTR; its zoning clearance must be reviewed before applying for the city BTR, and its building inspection must be approved before BTR submission. The premises must pass Building and Fire Safety Inspection before opening. Zephyrhills requires zone approval and a commercial check before business opening. Contact the municipality for local zoning, inspection and application sequencing.

Check state and professional requirements
Use the official Florida license lookup for occupation-specific requirements; a county receipt is not a professional license.
