Municipal building jurisdiction does not by itself remove County, state or regional overlays. Ask ERM to determine applicability for the exact site and activity; a mapped absence or a building permit does not waive other permits. Use SFWMD for applicable environmental resource and water use permits, Florida DEP for state wetland and coastal programs, and federal authorities where required. Do not clear protected vegetation, excavate or start shoreline work before applicable approvals.
