City of Tampa noise ordinance and complaint routing in Hillsborough County

Inside Tampa city limits, the City addresses unreasonably loud and raucous music complaints under Chapter 14 Article III. In Ybor City Historic District and the Arena District, section 14-153 prohibits unreasonably excessive noise and uses time-of-day decibel sound levels. In all other areas of Tampa, unreasonably excessive noise is enforced under section 14-154 and will often need an identified complainant. Construction noise may be addressed separately under section 5-120.2, and animal-noise complaints should be submitted through the Neighborhood Enhancement Division.
