A mobile food business operating in Hillsborough has two separate approval layers. Florida DBPR licenses Mobile Food Dispensing Vehicles and related food-service categories, while the actual vending location can require local zoning, site/event permission, fire review, and local business-tax compliance. The Hillsborough County Tax Collector classifies Mobile Food Vendor as a regulated business and requires the applicable state inspection/licensure evidence. Tampa separately publishes food-truck vendor requirements for events and certain private-property operations. A statewide DBPR MFDV license therefore does not grant permission to vend at any Hillsborough location.
