Hillsborough impact and mobility fees for development

Hillsborough County can assess impact fees for new development and certain additions/remodels that increase usable area, and mobility fees for development impacts on transportation. The amount depends on the project type, location/assessment district, size or units, and the fee schedule in effect when assessed. The County provides residential calculators and published schedules, but those estimates are not a substitute for the official assessment. Mobility and impact fees are assessed before issuance of a building permit or equivalent, and the assessment remains valid for the life of the permit. If a permit expires and is reissued, County guidance warns that impact or mobility fees may be reassessed at then-current rates.
