Hillsborough County Permit Search and Permit History
Permit records can come from Hillsborough County, Tampa, Temple Terrace, or Plant City. StartFL uses the property location and available records to route the search.
Flagged source reviewed 2026-10-16. How we check sources
Hillsborough development records are split across current HillsGovHub records, the PGM Store, and records-request processes depending on record type and age. Building records can include permit applications, plans, permit issuance, inspection results, elevation certificates, Certificates of Completion, and Certificates of Occupancy. Older records have date-specific availability limits and may require a records request rather than an online lookup. Some exempt building records have also been removed from public records, so a missing online result does not by itself establish that no historical record exists. For property due diligence, StartFL should distinguish 'not found in the live online provider' from 'no historical record exists' and should tell the user when older files require a records request.
