After a Hillsborough County building permit is issued, required inspections must be completed before the permit can close. Inspections are scheduled through HillsGovHub; failed inspections can require reinspection and additional fees. For projects requiring occupancy approval, all required inspections and outstanding fees, including assessed impact/mobility fees, must be resolved before a Certificate of Occupancy can be issued. County records can include inspection results, Certificates of Completion, Certificates of Occupancy, and elevation certificates. An issued permit is therefore not the same as completed/approved work; StartFL should distinguish permit status, inspection status, and final CO/completion status.
