City of Seminole

The City of Seminole Building Division (Community Development) issues building permits for property inside Seminole city limits. Applications, contractor registration, and permit tracking run through the city's Citizenserve online portal. Contractors must register their license with the city through the portal before applying for a permit.

Property owners and licensed contractors doing construction, remodels, roofs, windows and doors, pools, or trade work on residential property in the City of Seminole. Owner-builders submit a Homeowner Affidavit.

    Contractors: apply for a contractor's license with the city

    Contractors must apply for a contractor's license (contractor registration) through the portal before applying for a permit.

    Apply for the permit online

    Once contractor registration is processed, submit the online permit application with the required forms for your project type (for example Notice of Commencement, product approvals, checklists).

    Pay fees and schedule inspections

    Permit fees follow the city Permit Fee Schedule (a 3.5% credit card convenience fee applies). Inspection Hotline: 727-398-3110.

Requirements

  • Contractor registration / contractor's license on file with the city via Citizenserve before permit application, or Homeowner Affidavit for owner-builders
  • Project forms per permit type, such as Notice of Commencement, product approval forms, door and window checklist, roofing compliance affidavit, or pool safety barrier form
  • Site plan application and checklist where applicable
