The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) runs the public bus system for Pinellas County, including local routes, the SunRunner bus rapid transit line, express routes to Tampa, and several trolleys.

A single ride costs $2.25 (cash or Flamingo Fares). The reduced fare is $1.10 for seniors 65 and older, riders with disabilities (with proper ID), and youth ages 9 to 18. Children 8 and under always ride free. Pinellas County public school students ride free with school ID, and USF, St. Petersburg College, and Pinellas Technical College students ride free with college ID. unverified
Instead of selling traditional passes, PSTA now uses automatic fare capping through Flamingo Fares: once you spend $5 in a day you ride free the rest of that day, and once you spend $85 in a month the rest of the month is free ($2.50 daily and $42.50 monthly for reduced fare riders). A one day Flamingo group pass covers up to 4 people for $5. A Transportation Disadvantaged 31 day fare is available for $11 to riders who qualify through that program. unverified

Major hubs
Key transfer centers include Grand Central Station at 3180 Central Ave. in St. Petersburg, Park Street Terminal at 525 Park St. in Clearwater, Pinellas Park Transit Center at 3801 70th Ave. N., and Largo Transit Center at 2677 Roosevelt Blvd. Cross county express Route 100 links the St. Pete Pier area with downtown Tampa's Marion Transit Center, and Route 300 is the airport express to Tampa International.
Trolleys
The Central Avenue Trolley runs between Grand Central Station and the St. Pete Pier about every 20 minutes, and it is free thanks to a partnership with the City of St. Petersburg. The Downtown Looper circulates through downtown St. Petersburg, also free. The Suncoast Beach Trolley runs along the beaches from Park Street Terminal in Clearwater south to 75th Avenue and Gulf Boulevard, every 30 minutes from roughly 5 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., at the regular $2.25 fare. unverified
