Inside Pinellas County's cities, each municipality decides who collects residential trash and recycling: some run their own sanitation crews, others contract a private hauler. Here is the quick guide for the five largest cities, based on the county's official provider table and each city's own pages, checked 2026-08-29. If your city is not listed, the county maintains the full table for all municipalities at pinellas.gov/collection-garbage-and-recycling/.
St. Petersburg (city-run)
The city's Sanitation Department collects trash and recycling. Standard service is twice weekly trash collection with a 90 gallon container (a once weekly option exists for small, low water use households). Find your day with the interactive collection map linked from stpete.org under Residential Trash and Recycling, or use the St. Pete Collects mobile app for a personalized schedule and holiday alerts. Clearwater (city-run)
The city's Solid Waste and Recycling department handles collection. Schedules and service requests: myclearwater.com/Trash-Recycling or call 727-562-4920.
Largo (city-run)
Largo's Solid Waste division collects citywide. Pinellas Park (contracted)
Collection is provided under city contract by Waste Management (WM). For collection days, carts, and missed pickups call 727-369-0690, or start at the city site, pinellaspark.gov.
Dunedin (contracted)
The county's provider table lists Waste Pro as Dunedin's collection provider, with recycling processed by Recycling Services of Florida. Residents call 727-298-3215 for collection questions; service information is posted at dunedingov.com.
